The only reason China is an enemy of the USA is that they are large and successful in business. The same criteria apply to the European Union so they are just much an enemy as China. But the EU is pretty much defenseless making them the juicier target. Hence the Nordsteem sabotage to impoverish the EU. The USA destroyed about $11 billion of German equity, an act of war if there ever was one. Much worse this enabled the suckage of maybe $100 billion dollars a year in natural gas revenues from the EU, a crippling blow to their industry and a source of deprivation to their citizens.
What’s more, the USA is offering tax incentives to take semiconductor industry away from the EU. It’s evident that European leaders feel helpless to retaliate, but many European countries are still democracies. It seems to me that sooner or later the great numbers of newly impoverished Europeans will shrug off their propagandized zombiehood and elect governments not entirely supine, if not actually pro-Russian.
The grip the USA has on Europe depends largely upon an unrealistic fear of a Russian invasion. Russia is attempting to dampen that fear while still defending its interests. The best way to do that is to annex as little territory as feasible and not reach beyond such boundaries. The USA is doing all it can to provoke Russia’s further expansion into Ukraine. Russia can’t afford to do this, but the repeated assaults on Sevastopol — the Pearl Harbor of Russia —and the Kremlin itself are indeed highly provocative. The goal is to get outraged Russians to overthrow Putin and install an aggressive Stalin type to scare the bejesus out of the EU. Russia retaliated by promising weapons to North Korea that in a few years would allow it to nuke the real Pearl Harbor and the mainland of the United States as well. A proxy nuclear war! We are not supposed to worry about this.
It’s worth noting that Victoria “Fuck the EU” Nuland is today a major figure in DC. What does that tell you? Even without that, it seems to me that Fuck The EU is the true policy and goal.
From Caitlin Johnstone
In December of 2021 John Deni of NATO propaganda firm The Atlantic Council authored a piece for The Wall Street Journal titled “The Strategic Case for Risking War in Ukraine,” subtitled “An invasion would be a diplomatic, economic and military mistake for Putin. Let him make it if he must.” Deni argued that “there are good strategic reasons for the West to stake out a hard-line approach” against Moscow and refuse to negotiate or back down over Ukraine, because if doing so provokes Russia to invade it would “forge an even stronger anti-Russian consensus across Europe,”

The idea is that China can be forced to waste such a large proportion of its wealth on defense that its economic growth will be inhibited.
The folly of wasting a large proportion of your own wealth to this end should be obvious. It seems especially silly to engage in a war of attrition with someone larger than you. That's not all : the whole thing makes it evident that the USA is evil, thus causing loss of international support to the BRICS block. Exactly what they should not have done. In short, so far the USA is losing their World War Three. I see no way they can turn this around. Even if there were a way the US would not do it, committed as they are to their course.
Once they lose the EU it's all over. But that won't stop the USA. They'll just keep making it worse.
